25th Annual Florida Elks State Softball Tournament

elks 2018 final

DeLand Lodge #1463 will host the 25th Annual Florida Elks State Softball Tournament in DeLand, Florida, the weekend of April 27-29, 2018. For the last 24 years the net proceeds from this event have benefited Florida’s children and the Florida Elks Youth Camp.

In addition to bringing fellowship and camaraderie to the Elks of Florida, the tournament has raised nearly $170,000 for the Youth Camp in the name of the winning Lodges. There have been over 335 Elk teams playing with over 11,000 in attendance. We are expecting a big turnout for our 25th anniversary and are hoping that your Lodge will be represented.

Once again, this year plan to have multiple divisions, Under 50 A&B, Over 50 A&B and we will have an Over 60 division if at least four teams register. If we don’t get at least four teams we will split the Over 50 into upper/lower divisions. This tournament began with the intent to increase membership and we would like to push for that. This is a great opportunity to recruit new members into Elkdom!

The fun begins Friday night with the Sponsor Hospitality Tent and Home-run Derby. Games start early Saturday morning followed by the wildly popular Fish Fry dinner and YETI cooler raffle at the Lodge Saturday night. On Sunday morning a complimentary breakfast, along with Bloody Mary’s, will be served at the softball complex followed by championship games! The event concludes with the awards ceremony at the Lodge Sunday afternoon.

The tournament is a great opportunity to meet your fellow Elks from around the state and push for new membership, so please join us in celebrating 25 years of fun and continuing the tradition of enriching the lives of children by supporting the Florida Elks Youth Camp!

Please contact us if you have any questions. Looking forward to seeing you in DeLand!

Sincerely and fraternally,

Chris Chatham
