DeLand Elks Hosting 2nd Annual Car Show & BBQ - April 22

DeLand Elks Lodge #1463 at 150 S. Clara Avenue is hosting its second annual Car Show &BBQ on Saturday April 22nd from 12 pm - 4 pm. Hot Rods, Customs & Muscle Cars will be featured along with chicken or ribs with all the fixings for $10 pp. Soft drinks & adult beverages available. This event is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Donations will benefit the Florida Elks Charitable Trust Fund (Harry Anna). For car registration call 386-738-1463.

West Citrus Holds 26th Annual ER Charity Ball

The West Citrus Lodge 2693 cordially invites all to attend their 26th Charity Ball honoring Past Exalted Rulers of the West Citrus Elks Lodge. The Ball will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017. This event is a semi-formal affair. Social hour begins at 5:00pm with dinner served at 6:30pm. This year’s menu choice is either Prime Rib or Lobster Thermidor. Ticket donations for this event are $50.00 per person.

The proceeds from this year’s Charity Ball will benefit the Citrus County Blessings Program. Citrus County Blessings’ singular purpose is to help feed children of less fortunate families during school and on weekends.

For your listening and dancing pleasure, entertainment will be provided by “Jars of Stars”. Please RSVP in person, by mail or by phone by calling the lodge (352-628-7221). If not paying in person your tickets will be available at the door on the day of the event.

Your attendance at this Charity Ball is appreciated, and will be a great help to providing charitable support to Citrus County Blessings.


Louisiana State Legislature Increases New Orleans Hotel Occupancy Tax

The Legislature of the State of Louisiana has acted to increase the New Orleans Hotel Occupancy Tax from 13% to 14.75% effective April 1, 2014. This will affect our convention room rates and they will go from $128.56 to $130.52 per night.

Convention Attendees With ADA Transportation Needs Urged To Contact Grand Lodge

In order for the Grand Lodge to support the transportation needs of attendees with disabilities you are urged to contact the Grand Lodge if you require special assistance. Special coaches capable of kneeling to accommodate wheel chairs will be placed along the routes for those in need.
