State Soccer Shoot High Point Scorers

High point scorers: Kayla Lancing and William Velasquez, both U-12

On Jan. 5, the state Soccer Shoot was held at the Florida Elks Youth Camp. The day started with breakfast followed with registration and then the competition. After the competition, all contestants were presented the state president's pin by VPAL Tom Ludwick. There were 27 competitors, out of a possible 30, trying to become the champion of their age group. These kids represented 11 lodges, six districts and all three regions. All three Regional Chairmen, five District Chairmen and several Lodge Chairmen participated in this event. After the competition, everyone enjoyed a great lunch provided by the camp staff and received their trophies from the VPAL.
