Website Contest

I want to thank and congratulate all Florida Elks Lodges that registered in this year's State Lodge Website contest. All did a great job! Websites fell into one of two categories: Independent Free-Standing and Grand Lodge Virtual.

Websites were judged over the course of two weeks by Florida State Elks Association's Director of Marketing and Webmaster, Greg Weis, and Director of Information Technology, Steve Harmon. These gentlemen had the formidable task of selecting first place winners in each category and determining which single Lodge would represent our great state of Florida at the Grand Lodge competition.

All Lodge webmasters are to be commended for the tremendous amount of effort, hard work, and dedication placed in creating and maintaining their website. I encourage all Florida Elk Lodges to participate in this worthy contest in the coming year.

Congratulations to this year's State Website Contest winners:

Grand Lodge Virtual Website Winners

First place: Naples #2010

Second place: Jacksonville #221

Third place: Boca Raton #2166

Free-Standing Website Winners

First place: Lakeland #1291

Second place: Jupiter #2469

Third place: Holiday Isles #1912

Representing Florida at the Grand Lodge competition will be Lakeland Lodge #1291. Congratulations for a job well done!

Again, congratulations to all and thank you for participating in the website competition.

Fraternally,

Pat Maher
