On Oct. 26, Gainesville Elks Lodge #990 purchased pet foods from Florida Rottweiler Rescue Ranch & Sanctuary. The items were then delivered to the Humane Societies of North Central Florida. Also included was all that was donated and purchased by members. The $2,000 Elks National Foundation Gratitude Grant was used to purchase foods needed for their pet pantry and items on their wish list. The $500 balance of the grant was donated to the Humane Society to help keep their shelves full throughout the holiday seasons.
