To recognize Drug Awareness Month in October, Jacksonville Elks Lodge #221 provided Drug Awareness educational packages to six elementary schools in Duval County. Between all the schools, approximately 18,000 pieces of literature were distributed. On Oct. 25, the lodge participated in National Prescription Take Back Day and collected and delivered nearly 10 pounds of unused medication to the Florida Poison Control Center and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
