St. Augustine Elks Lodge member Jessica Littlefield, with a group of volunteers, raised $2,165 hosting a chowder competition, the Clam Jam, Oct. 1. This money was given to HorsePlay Therapy Center’s Rise Up for Veterans program, which helps wounded veterans and veterans with PTSD, along with their families, heal from the physical and emotional wounds of war. In September, the lodge had donated $1,000 from its charity funds to this organization.
