On March 6, Fort Walton Elks Lodge #1795 awarded its $3,500 Elks National Foundation Gratitude Grant to ABA in Fort Walton. The grant was used to purchase two much-needed smart boards and supplies. ABA provides therapy using scientifically proven therapies and techniques to develop individualized programs for each client. ABA (applied behavior analysis) therapy is highly effective in teaching new skills, reducing problem behaviors and improving overall quality of life. It is evidence-based and can be tailored to individual needs.
Pictured with one of the smart boards are Krista Ripley, office assistant; Katherine Hallberg, registered behavior technician and lodge member; Jamie Clemons, Lodge Secretary; Paul Eubanks, PER; Danielle Fitzgerald, board certified behavior analyst; Margaret Trujillo, board certified behavior analyst and founder; Sara Moore, registered behavior technician; and Kevin Clemons, PDD.
