On March 3, Pensacola Beach Elks Lodge #497 donated $2,000 to Gulf Breeze Elementary School to use toward a security fence, which will enclose the rear portion of the school. The community really came together for funding the fence, and the lodge was part of the solution that will help protect hundreds of children and teachers for decades to come.
On March 4, Pensacola Beach Elks Lodge #497 donated $2,500 to Trinity Village, located in downtown Pensacola. Trinity Village is a tiny home community for low-income seniors experiencing homelessness. The donation will help fund the remaining needs for appliances and furnishings for the tiny homes.
