Pompano Beach Elks Lodge #1898 sponsored the Coral Springs Middle School Band with a $2,000 donation. Lodge members were invited to the winter holiday concert Dec. 6 to hear the beginning band, symphonic band, wind ensemble and the marching Stallions. The lodge received a two-page layout in all event programs, premier placement of the Elks logo on the band members’ shirts that were worn in the Universal Orlando parade and other performances, a website link on the band sponsor webpage, a fence banner at the school and the lodge logo projected on a large screen before the performance. The band will also play at a future lodge event. The lodge’s donation will help cover the cost of instruments, lessons, uniforms and travel.
