On Jan. 19, Fort Walton Elks presented $600 for the Army of Hope. Jamie Clemons, Lodge Secretary and District Army of Hope Chair, created a fundraising board for the Army of Hope. At lodge functions and meetings, Clemons gives a brief presentation about how Army of Hope donations are used. She displays the board and in each one of the bubble letters that spell out Army of Hope, there is a respective amount of money to claim by donation. Once that donation is made, that section of the letter is colored in. The donation increments were $20, $10 and $5. This board raised $600 in one and a half months so Clemons is already building another board with higher available donation areas.
