On Dec. 14, West Palm Beach Elks Lodge #1352 held their annual Breakfast with Santa. Lodge members donated time and money and the lodge raised $1,900 to purchase gifts for 78 children from four area elementary schools and local clients of Florida Elks Children’s Therapy Services. On Oct. 19, the Southeast District Soccer Shoot had a fantastic turnout thanks to Clewiston Lodge’s Marty Espinoza, District Chairman, who coordinated it. Lunch was served as well.
In May, West Palm Beach Elks Lodge #1352 hosted a Major League Baseball Pitch Hit & Run sectional winners competition for girls and boys ages 7-14. The winners moved on to Miami, Fla., to the team event. It’s a great experience for the kids as they learn how to work together as a team.
Lake Okeechobee Elks Lodge #2871 held a public Flag Day celebration in Okeechobee City's Memorial Park. The lodge officers were assisted by the JROTC Brahman Battalion for the flag ceremony.
Jupiter Lodge donated $1,000 to Boy Scout Troop 109 so they could travel to Virginia to attend summer camp at Camp Powhatan. The scouts collectively earned 26 merit badges.
