Boca Raton and Delray Beach lodges co-hosted the Flag Day ceremony June 14 at Delray Beach Lodge, where Boca Raton Lodge is currently holding their meetings. Pictured are scouts from Troop 301, Troop 308 and Pack 308 presenting the flags during the ceremony.
On March 15, Hollywood Elks Lodge #2365 donated a total of $3,500 from the Elks National Foundation Gratitude Grant to the following community organizations, which each received $500: Broward Children’s Center, Hollywood Police Athletic League, Davie Police Athletic League, Hope Outreach Center, South Florida Council Boy Scouts of America, The Marti Huizenga Boys and Girls Club of Broward County, and the LCPL Janos V. Lutz Live to Tell Foundation.

Pompano Beach Elks have finished the renovation of the butterfly garden at Cresthaven Elementary School in Pompano Beach, Florida. The renovation included more than 30 bags of mulch and the repair of all benches and the flower bowl.

On Jan. 21, Boca Raton Elks Lodge #2166 presented checks in the amounts of $800, $900 and $800, respectively, to the directors of the Boca Raton High School NJROTC, Village of Valor and the American Association of Caregiving Youth. Funds from the Elks National Foundation Gratitude Grant were used.

On Jan. 8, Oakland Park Elks Lodge #2407 donated 30 boxes filled with nonperishable food items and Publix gift cards to Father Bob, who runs All Saints Soup Kitchen, supports parolees and runs services for those who are less fortunate. The church is located just around the corner from the lodge. Funds from the Elks National Foundation Focus Grant were used to purchase these items.
